The Social Equality & Inclusion Centre (SEI) is a staffing partner to help recruit, train, and employ people (predominantly women, youth, and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities) through targeted intervention and support.
Recently, Cannabis Carnival teamed up with like-minded stakeholders to address the issue of safe cannabis consumption in Canada.
We face a unique opportunity to reposition cannabis consumption into a safe, social activity whilst educating individuals on safe consumption and the dangers of cannabis.
To this end, Cannabis Carnival is partnering with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), CannSell (an initiative of MADD Canada to promote safe sales and consumption) and the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) to develop a safe consumption model to ensure safe experiences for Canadians.
We propose expanding cannabis consumption to safe, designated areas that are fenced off and otherwise separated from the public, thus protecting non-smokers from the dangers of second-hand smoke.
